Loan Protection Insurance

One of the attractions of a loan with the Credit Union is free Loan Protection Insurance. It repays the balance of your loan in the event of your death. Cover is available for those in good health or carrying out normal occupational duties at the time the loan is granted.

For higher loans and at older age groups, a Declaration of Health may be requested. Cover ceases at age 80.

Loan Protection Insurance also repays the balance of the loan if the member becomes totally and permanently unable to earn an income or profit. Disability cover ceases at age 60, and applies to loan amounts less that €40,000.
